What is GEL Battery?
1. The battery is divided into lead-acid battery and gel battery based on the different infilling electrolyte.
2. Temperature range of lead-acid battery: 20℃~+45℃
Temperature range of gel battery: -40℃~+50℃

From the above graph, we can see that there is no significant difference in the performance of lead-acid and gel battery under the normal use environment of 20℃~25℃, but there is a significant difference in the discharge performance under the environment of higher and lower temperature. The following picture shows the gel battery in the exhibition working normally at -35℃ even if the mineral water on the battery has frozen and the conductor is also frost.
How to recognize GEL Battery?
1) When the gel battery works, the electrolyte is in liquid state, which is similar to the state of lead acid; however, when the gel battery stands still, the electrolyte appears to be solid as shown in the figure below:
2) Dissecting gel battery
A real gel battery should meet such standard: its colloid electrolyte permeates the whole battery interior, from top to bottom. Most of the so-called gel battery in the market are not real gel batteries, no wonder they are not as good as AGM battery.
